Since the Houthi terrorists say that Mecca is "occupied" territory, does that mean that they want to "liberate" it or that they are willing to accept a two-state solution? I think the Saudis can (probably) defend themselves, but the Houthis dream of an actual invasion of Hejaz. x.com/MEMRIReports/sโ€ฆ

There are many innocent, suffering people in Yemen. But it is a strange situation: a stimulant that you can't eat is a major (mostly domestic) cash crop and in Houthi-ruled parts of Yemen, priority is given over to building a war machine instead of helping poor people.

@sfrantzman They don't, of course. But there are thousands of Yemeni soldiers and fighters arrayed and actively engaged against the Houthis. That SHOULD be the ground element. How much they still are and what they can do going ahead is an open question.

Here's hoping the Saudis continue to hit the Houthi terrorists hard. And that "someone" helps them do it even more and more effectively and precisely in the coming days. x.com/NotWoofers/staโ€ฆ

This is a very important point on the Yemen conflict. Somehow the West lazily gives the Houthis agency but then erases this for anti-Houthi Yemenis. x.com/sadeqalwesabi/โ€ฆ

The risk around Iran is genuinely high. But social media is increasingly treating the worst-case scenario as if it were already the most likely one. The real indicators are more concrete: confirmed U.S. bomber and tanker movements, evacuation orders, major force-protection
